Ugo Dossi Rebis NFT – Auge

Ugo Dossi’s art revolves around the creativity of the unconscious, the sensual and the supernatural. It plays with archetypal and collective images, with automatic drawings, with topological models, with paranormal phenomena. Typical of his work is his use of forms of representation of the limitless, which lead the mind into the perception of the infinite and intangible that lies behind everything. His installations have been shown twice at Documenta (Documenta 6 and Documenta 8), at the Venice Biennales (1986 and 2011), Paris (1975), and Buenos Aires (2000), as well as in numerous solo exhibitions in international museums and institutes. In the collection “Zeichen und Wunder” Dossi combines ancient Egyptian pictorial allegories with contemporary “Weltbilder” in holographic works. The central principle of composition is that of the “Rebis”. A term that comes from alchemy and means the union of two principles to a higher existence.
